I had my lasik surgery on thursday and today is sunday and am still not quite in focus. I notice that I can read some things but things like the font on the computer or the time on the tivo is a little out of focus. When I put my eye drops in, things seems to get in better focus. My eyes were pretty bad so the doctor told me it could take 2-4 months for my eyes to stabilize. I just want to make sure this is true. Did anyone else have trouble with small print or even distance blurriness after surgery?

Dennis

Its been a month for me, and my right eye is still blurry at distance. Doc says that the prescription is right on, I guess it could be, but I see double of everything real well. My left eye was relifted for ingrowth 2 weeks ago and its 20/100 still... It was perfect prior to ingrowth and relift. I was -8 diopter going in.

Dennis,

It's still pretty early after your procedure, and some fluctuation in your vision is to be expected. For the first couple of weeks after surgery reading computer screens and print were a strain. This should improve in the next few weeks and months as your eyes heal. If your vision suddenly gets remarkably worse or you feel pain, you should contact your doctor for advice, but at this point in your healing the symptoms you are describing are normal. Just keep em lubricated!

Dennis,
i also had the problem that my vision gets more clearer when i put on eye drops and i find out that it is because of dry eyes post lasik. This problem will be reduced with the passage of time. I am 4 weeks post lasik but still have dry eyes problem but not as severe as before. I was using artificial tears after every hour before now i am using it only thrice a day. So dont worry this is possible after lasik. Drink plenty of water it really soothes the dry eyes.
