I had Lasik surgery in November last year to correct a sever astigmatism. my prescription was
+2.5 -5.25 87deg (R)
+2.25 -5.50 85deg (L)

Following the Lasik my astigmatism was -1.00 in both eyes. I recently underwent an Astigmatic Keratotomy resulting in the astigmatism decreasing to -0.5.

I have struggled with my vision since. The Doctor says I have a slight bit of Myopia - he said that the Myopia is calculated by formuala (the optomotrist did not measure any myopia in the standard eye test). I am now wearing contact lens to address the Myopia.

How does this formual work and as my eyes continue to heal from the Lasik and AK, will the - (myopia) go to zero?

Thanks

Please can somebody put my mind at rest regarding the formula myopia (see my original posting).

I NEVER measured for myopia pre lasik but now seem to have it according to my doctor based on a formula of my astigmatism. The optometrist did not measure this in the better/worse?? test.

Please can someone help - thanks.
