I was -7.5 in each eye pre-lasik. Currently, my right is great (20/20), however, my left eye vision is fuzzy with ghosting, three weeks after surgery. My doctor says that I have high tear-break up rate, and the fuzzy vision is likely due to dry eyes. Last week he put me on Restasis.
1. Can the fuzzy vision be due to dry eyes?
2. Does the LASIK induced dry eyes resolve over time with or without Restasis? Restasis burning my continuously. Does this get better with time.
3. Does the ghosting resolve over-time?
4. How long does it take before the eyes don't feel tired? I can only work a half a day, and then I have to rest my eyes.
Thanks.

You were significantly myopic (nearsighted, shortsighted) before surgery. It is great that one eye was quickly 20/20, but fluctuation in vision during the healing process would be expected.
A rapid tear breakup time indicates a poor lipid layer of your tears. Restasis may help this, however Restasis requires three months to become fully effective. You are probably not getting much help at the moment. Many people experience stinging upon application of Restasis, but the stinging should end quickly after applying the drops. If the stinging is longer than a few minutes, let your doctor know.
I highly recommend you read our article on Lasik and dry eye at http://www.complicatedeyes.org/dry_eye_treatment.htm where you will learn more about this problem and how you may be able to help resolve it during your healing. Lasik induced dry eyes usually resolve within the normal six-month healing period.
Dry eyes can cause ghosting and fuzzy vision and exacerbate other causes of ghosting and fuzzy vision. You need to get the dry eyes managed before you will know what to reasonably expect for an outcome.
Your eyes probably feel tired because of the dryness causing irritation and because you are constantly trying to focus around the fuzzy vision. Along with treating the dry eye, try to close your eyes for five minutes each hour and see if this helps. This is especially important if you work at a computer. Computer users are notorious for not blinking our eyes.
