I had lasik surgery about three months ago, but still have significant astigmastism in my left eye. My doctor prescribed acular drops and clapiks (contact lens) because I don't have enough corneal tissue left to have an enhancement. The drops and lens don't seem to be helping at all. In fact, I think the astigmatism is much worse. Can anyone comment on this treatment, or suggest another alternative? Thank you!

There are a number of options - and you need to weigh the risks versus benefits
1. Contact lenses
2. AK: procedure where incisions are made in the cornea to relax (reduce) the astigmatism
3. Surface ablation over previous LASIK flap. Although there was a high incidence of haze in patients who had PRK after LASIK in the past, recent discussions by surgeons report the risk of haze appears to be less. Factors that reduce the risk of haze include avoiding UV exposure, oral vitamin C, and occasionally mitomycon C(an anti-cancer drug).
If you consider surface ablation over your previous LASIK, you must be aware that there is a risk of haze developing in the flap (although hopefully Vitamin C and/or Mitomycin C) may reduce the risk.
I hope this helps
