Pre-Lasik (4 years ago)I was very nearsighted, now I have 20/20, but have a question on what my vision should be like now, having had astigmatisim pre-lasik. I notice when I look up from reading a book, to the tv or across the room, my eyes take a very long time (about 1 minute)to refocus! Also, I see clearly in a bright room or outside, and in the dark where something is brightly lit, but cant seem to focus well in a dim room or outdoors at dusk. I have the "dry eyes" but only seem to need eyedrops in the morning when my eyes feel bonedry. The blur or double vision is from top to bottom. Are these problems related to astigmatisim? Can I expect it to get worse?

Laura,
Thank you for your question.

Most people with good vision will notice that they do not see as well at night or in dim lighting conditions. It is just the way the eye works.
Of course - if you have residual refractive error following your surgery - then this could also be the cause of your worse vision in less light. Since it sounds as if you are seeing well overall - you might want to consider a light prescription for glasses for only driving at night or for situations in which the lighting is poor.
I hope this helps.
