Hello,
I had lasik the end of august 2004 (about 10 months ago). I was about a -7 in both eyes. My main problem here is that every single day my vision changes. I have had 4 different eyeglass and contact precriptions since the surgery. I don't know what the heck is going on but I'm really starting to wonder if I'm ever going to stabilize. I don't think I have dry eyes because they did a dry eye test and I measured a 12 and an 11 in tear production? Basically one minute I can see crystal clear with my current contacts and then the the precription feels like it isn't powerful enough. If i use the pinhole effect with my fingers and look through it will correct my vision. But then 20 seconds later the vision will correct itself again. Now the same thing happens when I'm wearing glasses so this rules out the contacts not fitting properly. I did not have astigmatism before lasik but I have had astigmatism precriptions ranging from -.75 to -1.75 since surgery. and regular myopic changes from -.50 to -1.50. Can anyone shed some light on what the heck could be going on here?

Frank. There are a variety of causes of fluctuating vision. But when the vision fluctuates as rapidly as you are describing, some form of dry is probably the cause. There are actually multiple forms of dry eye, including lack of tear production, poor tear film quality, or a combination of the two.
I am located in Miami, and specialize in the treatment of dry eye after LASIK. I have an article that will soon be published on this topic. I would be more than happy to see you to get to the bottom of things.
Best regards
