Hello,
I have been wishing for LASIK surgery for a while now. I have read the risks associated with the surgery and I have a very good doctor who has told me for a while that he is against LASIK altogether. I would like to ask the doctors on this board is they feel that I am a viable candidate based on my prescription. I have a severe astigmatism and I know that prescription alone isn't the determining factor for ideal LASIK patients. I just want an initial opinion. My info is below:
Sphere CYL AXIS
OD -4.50 -3.50 04
OS -3.75 -4.25 174
I appreciate any advice. Thanks

You need to see a specialist to determine whether you are an appropriate candidate for surgery. You have to make sure you do not know have keratoconus, and are an appropriate candidate for surgery.
