Hello, I went to have my Lasik done by Dr. Sandy Feldman in San Diego (Fri, 2/9/01). She is extremely talented, patient, and very excellent (I was extremely comfortable with her). I do have a little bit of stigmatism in the left eye. The surgery went very well; however I noticed that the right eye has recovered much faster and sees sharp & perfect while the left eye is still abit blurry and sees a small amount of halos at nightime. Can anyone tell me if that is normal?
I know it's only been 48 hours after surgery but if the doctor said the surgery went so perfectly then why doesn't both eyes heal at the same speed?
I've read other people on this message board mention re-enhancements. When is that absolutely necessary?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!

It takes time for the eyes to heal, and there is almost always a variation between the eyes in regards to how sharp and crisp the vision is. However, it is important that when you see and talk with your doctor that you point out this difference so that the doctor can look carefully to make sure that nothing is wrong.
Doctors wait atleast 3 months and often to 6 months before considering an enhancement, as the eye can improve on its own during this time.
Best of luck
