radio waves means that this is not a laser procedure. it is a techniques being used to correct only far sightedness by heating the cornea in the periphery which causes a pursestring type effect to steepen the cornea.

this technique has been tried for over 30 years, but may be a bit more accurate this time around- better probes, more control of radio waves. still, the fda is still studying the procedure and it will be another couple of years before it is available.

likely it will be as good as laser for mild farsightedness, but it does not seem to be a miracle procedure.
