Hi folks, you have a great website here.
Thanks for the technical support.
My doc says I need topo assisted lasik to correct irregular ast. after the first lasik which was performed in August of 1998.
Question? When will this be availabe? I know the FDA is slower than congress is at passing a budget. What's your best guess?
Question 2. I hope this isn't the first time you've been asked this- 2 years post lasik, I see better with my left eye for distance in most light. However, when in the doc's office, in dim light, projected black letters, I see better in my right eye?
So now I have glasses that work great in the movies and make my vision worse in any other situation,so I don't wear them and my optomitrist thinks I'm making up stories. Help please.
My pre-op Manifest were: OD -10.25+2.50x93 20/20
OS -9.25=2.25x89 20/20.
MY pre-op K's were OD 43.25x03/45.75x93(=2.50) and OS 43.12x179/45.62x89(=2.50)
My last visit to the optomitrist in Feb. 2000 showed : Right eye +.50-1.50 at 156, Left -.75-1.00 at 23.
I would sure like to see that golf ball at more than 150 yards away.
Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.Tom Greco

Customized LASIK will still take atleast a year to get FDA approval in the U.S., as the companies must show that the customization is safe and effective. You should keep your eyes out for wave-front technology, which may be even better than topolink.
As for your light versus darkness problem - it may be related to pupil size - such that when your pupils dilated in the dark, there is worse vision in one eye. So a potential treatment is the use of a medication that will cause the pupils to stay constricted during night time. You should talk with your doctor abou thtis medication

Best of luck
