I have went to 3 Lasik centers and 2 said Im a perfect candidate for CustomVue and 1 which had a more intense exam; dilation and used something like a mirror with a light source to look at my eyes while I look up and to the side. He stated that due to my small pupils I should get the B&L Flying Spot and that he also noticed that my cornea is thin. When I discussed this with the last Dr he stated nothing is wrong and maybe my eyes were having a bad day. Is there such thing as a bad day and why do some offices do minimum and others do extensive eye evaluations. I want the best procedure possible.

You need to go to someone who will sit and answer these questions. What is your Rx and how thin are your corneas. I think you mean you have large pupils not small ones. You should have a thourogh exam prior to having surgery to make sure there is no contraindication to surgery.

Three years ago the "$500 per eye" doctor told me he thought with my large pupils I'd be at risk for dissatisfying night vision; the other two $3000 dollar doctors were two thumbs up, each?

There may be a very legitimate reason that one doctor said your pupil size was a problem and two others did not.
Every excimer laser is limited in the size of its treatment zone. The doctor who rejected you may have had technology that could not accommodate the size of your naturally dilated pupils. The doctors who said they could safely treat you may have had lasers that could provide a full optical ablation zone equal to or larger than your pupils.
This is speculation, but it is one reason why some doctors reject while others accept.
