I am 51 years old and had Custom Lasik Monovision surgery on Tues. July 12. The next day I was able to see 20/20 and could read most of the 20/15 line. My vision was pretty clear and I couldn't be happier. But... Since then, my eyesight seems to be blurry and I am having more difficulty seeing things clearly. I would like to know if it is the drops I am using that is causing this and if it will clear up once the drops are stopped. I am using Zymar 4 X daily, Flarex 4 X daily for one week and Restasis 2 X daily for at least 2 weeks and Systane preservative drops several times per hour. I guess I am just afraid that my sight is regressing. I can certainly live with blurriness from the drop regime if my eyes will just clear back up in the long run. Thanks for any reassurance you can give me.

There is no way that I can give reassurance. Instead - you should make a followup appointment early this week to get rechecked - to make sure dry eyes or another problem is not the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this helps

Thanks Dr. Trattler for your response. My followup exam is scheduled for next Monday. The blurriness is getting better every day, so I believe I will receive great news at my appt. Yesterday was my final day for Zymar and Flarex so now I am only using the Restasis twice daily. Are your patients having good long term results with Restasis?
Thank you again for taking the time to answer my post.

I have a large number of patients on Restasis after laser eye surgery, as it helps improve the quality of tears. It definitely appears to help my patients.

I hope this helps
