I would like to know about the details of the warm compresses treatment for dry eye.
How many times a day?
For how long? (10 minutes, 15 minutes,etc)
This treatment offers only temporaly relief or have another effect?
Thanks.

For most people treating blepharitis or dry eye with a warm compress, once a day is enough, however there may be circumstances when twice a day yields better results. You cannot use a warm compress too often. Hold the compress in place until it loses its heat, or about 15 minutes.
The warm compress can cause the tear liquids that travel in tiny channels in the eye lids to become more fluid and travel better, especially the oily lipid. As the surrounding area cools, these lipids may become thicker and less fluid, so the effect is somewhat temporary.
Restasis is a prescription anti-inflammatory eye drop that may help if dry eye is caused by these tiny channels being blocked due to inflammation of tissue surrounding them.

Thanks for your help Glenn. So, do you think Restasis it's a better option than warm compresses? (Restasis produces a permanent effect?)

Restasis works very nicely. But warm compresses work well also. The combination can be even better.
I hope this helps

Dr. Trattler already responded regarding which would be better.
The daily Restasis medicated eye drop will be needed for as long as the inflammation is present. For some, that means a few weeks, for most that means using Restasis forever.

Thanks for your help, Glenn and Dr. Trattler. I was reading the study Dr. Trattler post here about chronic dry eye.
The study mentionts a eye-warming device.
Do you know if this device is going to be sold to general public in the near future?
Do you achieve permanent or temporary improvement in your patients (study patients) Dr. Trattler, after EyeFeel treatment?
How did you treated this patient's inflammation and aqueous tear deficiency?
Thanks and greetings from Mexico!!
