Suppose someone has had lasik surgery performed. They have large pupils which the surgeon accurately measured prior to the surgery, let's say 8mm. The person is 20/20 in both eyes, but experiencing noticeable ghosting and glare indoors, as well as starbursts at night (no other symptoms such as dry eye are present). They are not severe, but certainly distracting. Six months after the surgery, the surgeon performs a wavescan and notes that these symptoms are the result of the fully corrected area being smaller than the pupil under dim lighting conditions.
Presuming the person has plenty of cornea left, would it be a good idea for the surgeon to perform an enhancement, increasing the area of ablation?
Would the risks of such an enhancement be larger than that of your typical enhancement for, say, an slight undercorrection?
Myself, I'm only one month post lasik and improving, but I do find these questions interesting, and I can't seem to find solid answers anywhere...

optical zone enlargements are a possibility for patients with large pupils who have night vision problems.
