I had lasik surgery performed around 5 years ago on both eyes for correction to astigmatism and farsightedness. I have a buckle on one retina which scared away most doctors. Dr. Schulze from Savannah did a jam up job, and I will consult him as well. I was just curious about your thoughts on:
1. Enhancement to someone who does have a buckle on their retina. The sight in this eye is definitely not 20/20, but passable for driving.
2. Is there a way to solve both the fasightedness and the close up vision problem from getting older? I am 48, and have needed reading glasses since my surgery.

I have heard you can correct one eye for each problem, but it might not be best if you play sports. I play tennis at a high level (5.0), and I really do not want to hurt that part of my life. But I detest carrying around reading glasses all the time. Thanks for the input.

Sounds like you have done fairly well. You had a sight threatening retinal detatchment with succesful repair, have pretty good vision now and can still play great tennis. I have none of your history but wear reading glasses all the time. It is annoying but risk free. Don't do anything without first seeing what a best case would look like using a trial with contacts. If it screws up your tennis you won't be happy. Find a good surgeon who will spend time discussing your questions.
