Here is the history and information you previously requested.
History:
I had eye surgery on both eyes on 12/06/00. See #1 below for preoperative level of myopia and astigmatism. My right eye has healed quit well except for an angel wing effect with bright night lights. Although I would like to resolve this issue, I will concentrate on my left eye which I continue to have significant issues with.
Left eye UCVA 3-days after surgery was 20/40 +2. Early sands was detected. 5-days after surgery my UCVA was 20/20 -1. 7-days after surgery my UCVA was 20/40 - and had opacities. 9-days after my UCVA was 20/60 and I was refloated on 12/15/00.
3-days after refloat my UCVA was 20/60 -2 and never improved. My refraction (manually taken)was +2.75. An auto refraction equipment measured +2.00 -1.5x75. On 1/12/01 I was refloated again. This time the surgeon added a clear contact lense that was left in for a week.
The lense was removed last week and I still have multiple images in my left eye and it seems identical to the vision I had post the first refloat. The surgeon is recommending suturing, which I am very unconfortable with, as the next step.
Questions:
1. Should this be the next step or should he be swelling the flap with water?
2. Are there any analytical test that he should be conducting before we try suturing?
3. If suturing is the next logical step, what are the risks?
4. Also, I find it too coincidental that the left eye healed very similar to the first refloat. Is this typical?

Answers to your questions:
1. Preoperative level of myopia and astigmatism:
-1.75 -1.00x060(Left) -1.00 -1.00x122(Right)
2. First Surgery date: 12/06/00
3 & 4. after 12/6/00 surgery I had my left eye reflaped twice once on 12/15/00 for debris and the second time was on 1/12/01 due to microstriae. Neither of these reflaps was for enhancement purposes.
5. On the last reflap the doctor stretched the flap and placed a clear contact lense.
6. I have not had a refraction test since the operation but expect that it will be happening this week. I continue to have multiple images with my left eye and suspect that the reflap was unsuccessful.
