On my one day post-op visit the optomitrist indicated that he saw something under the flap in my right eye. After calling to confer with the surgeon he said he thinks it might be an air bubble under the flap. Is this common/possible? If so, what can/should be done. There is significantly more blurriness in my right eye than in my left. Please let me know. Thanks.
It is impossible for an air bubble to be present under the flap after more than a number of minutes. Any air is absorbed by the cornea very quickly.
It is important that your eye surgeon (the doctor who performed the surgery) examine your cornea, as this is the doctor who can determine whether the interface debris is significant, and if so, needs to be removed.
Please let us know what happens
Best of luck
