On 1/24/02 i had lasek performed. My right eyes flap was "flaking" into my eye so the doctor put a contact in at my 1/25/02 post op appt. It is 1/27/02 and my vision is very blurry. We called the doctor yesterday and he said that once the contac is removed on Monday, my vision should come back immediately or within a few hours. Have you ever heard of this? I only have one contac in and my vision is very blurry. Please respond as soon as you can.

It sounds like you had LASIK, not LASEK. With LASIK, a flap is made with a machine. One possible problem that can occur is the surface of the flap can have an abrasion - which can lead to blurry vision. If an abrasion occurs, a bandage contact lens is used to help the epithelium heal. During this process, the vision is typically blurry.
With an abrasion - one serious condition that can also occur is inflammation under the flap (called DLK). So your doctor should check for this condition as well.

I hope this helps
