I had 20/40 vision w/a slight stigmatism in both eyes before lasix. I had a history of corneal errosion before my procedure on 5/3/02.
After my procedure the Dr. told me that my epithelial tore in both eyes, but this would not effect my outcome.
It has been nearly 3 weeks and I have not noticed ANY improvement since my procedure. I now have 20/30 in one eye and 20/60 in the other.
My right eye continues to be very blurry, cloudy and produces double vision at times.
What are the chances of this NOT clearing up and how long should I expect to wait?
Is there anything I can do to help the healing process along? I just put drops in it now.
Also, was I a 'good' canidate for lasix since I've had errosions and previous corneal abrasions?
Should I be worried??
Thank you for your response,
Diana

You need to discuss your condition with your
surgeon. If the blur is related to the healing
abrasion you will probably be fine. However you
have to make sure the flap is in good position.
If you had a definite history of recurrent
erosions PRK would probably have been a better
choice.
