I had Lasik surgery 5 weeks ago and my distance vision is still blurry and I cannot look at a computer, book or message for more than 30 to 60 seconds at a time without feeling that I have to shut my eyes to rest them. I am a 56 year old caucasian female with very well controlled Type I diabetes and several doctors saw no problem with me having this surgery. A nurse practicioner told me to investigate taking more zinc than what is in my multi-vitamin (20 mg). That a new study investigated by the National Institute of Blindness showed that zinc promotes healing. Can you confirm this and if if so, can you tell me what milligram I should be taking? Thank you.

If you are having trouble with your vision, see
your doctor, don't listen to those who have no
idea what is going on with your eyes.
I do not know if Zinc will make any difference but
you need to know what the problem is before you
try to treat it.
