First let me thank you for your assistance. I have been having a very difficult time with this and you have been helpful, thank you. I had cells under my flap and had them removed on July 8. Prior to the scrapping my vision was -2.75 +2.50 x 90. Afterwards I am told it is -1.75. I still notice a backwards c, angeled nasally, but not as pronounced. Could this be from the cells being scraped and the flap just needs time to heal and fill in? She says it may be from higher order abbrt., but I didn't notice anything wrong with the vision in either eye (other than undercorrection) until the cells appeared under the flap. I don't want to risk treating what is not there. The vision does not clear up with glasses, but does with a pin hole in the r eye. Please advise me as you can, any insight is appreciated. I just want to know if I just need much more time for the flap to heal and fill in since the scrape or is it something that requires more surgery? I do sometimes feel like I have 'air' in the left corner of my right eye nasally, but at my two week visit, she said everything looked good and offered me contacts, which I refused. Thank You for your help!

Julia,
Glad to know you are seeing better after the removal of the epithelial cells. It may be too early at two weeks to tell if you will have continued problems. Give it a few more weeks and have your Dr. moniter for recurrence of ingrowth.
Best of luck.

It has been a month now, and the cells have not come back. My concern is the backwards bending of light, do you believe this is just remodeling that needs to occur or do I just need time for the flap to 'heal' from the scraping? Thank you.
