I had Lasik surgery a week ago tomorrow. I am seeing 20/25 in my right eye and 20/40 in my left. Before surgery, I could see 20/20 in both eyes with contacts/glasses. At my post op appointment today my Dr said that I have flap striae in my left eye that is affecting my vision. He said that it was more than likely caused by dry eye. He also said that there is nothing that he can do about it.
1.Am I really out of luck?
2.Can this just eventually get better as my Dr is hoping?
3.Would most Dr's see a minor striae such as mine (20/40 severity) and choose to not treat it hoping it will correct itself, or is he in the minority?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please help me!!!

I highly recommend flap suturing - which is extremely effective at removing striae.
You should consider a second opinion, if truly your best-corrected vision is reduced due to striae.
Keep us posted.
