I had Lasik Surgery done about 7 years ago, and had a enhancement about 1 year ago. In the past 2 days my vision has been blurred, and there is a white spot very close to my pupil. I went to 2 doctors which felt it might be a infection. I then went to the Lasik Cornea Specialist, and told me it was a Epithelial Overgrowth and I need my eye scraped/flushed. My question is can it occur this long after the enhancement, also was wondering what other steps, I should take?? since it will take a week or so for me to get surgery. Will my vision get worse or be compromised because of the wait?? Any info or extra steps I should take, please let me know. Thanks for your time

Epithelial ingrowth after LASIK is a slow process - it did not erupt all of a sudden - but probably built up over the last year. It is unlikely that something bad would happen in the course of a week - but since I am not your doctor and I have not examined you - I can not say for certain. Only your doctor who has examined you could tell you how urgent it is to undergo surgery. Please call your doctor and confirm that the timing of your surgery is safe for your eyes.
I hope this helps
