Hi all,
I had lasik done 4 weeks ago and while I see 20/15 in left eye and 20/30 in right eye, I still am having problems with my night vision, especially around traffic signals that have an arrow turn signal. I can only really see the arrow clearly when I am the first car in the lane to make a turn and the farther I go, the more blurry it is. Halos around the street lamps and traffic lights seem to be slowly diminishing, but these turn signals are a bit bothersome, since I use these lanes on a regular basis.
My pre op Rx was -350 x -125 x 160, the left eye was -350 x -75 x 24. Pupil diameter in dim light was measured at 5.5mm, was dilated to 7.5mm procedure was done with the Ladarvision laser.
Will this blurriness with the turn signal lanes diminish over the next few months or am I stuck with this. My optometrist says that it will diminish with time, but I thought it would be much better by now.

I'm now 8 weeks post lasik and still experience significant halos and starbursts around light sources at night. Alphagan P helps temporarily. My pupils measured 7mm. My surgeon used the Visx Star S3 with a 6.5mm treatment zone and a blend out to 8.2mm. My prescription was -4.75, -4.50.
I'm getting concerned that the starbursts will be a permanent condition.

Hi Ralph,
It is frustrating isn't it? I don't seem to have too many problems with starbursts, I look at them like just having really crisp vision. I just wish I knew when the halo/blurriness will go away at night.

Part of the night vision symptoms may be due to having residual refractive error - which temporary glasses would help. After a few months, most patietns will have improvement in their night time symptoms.
I hope this helps
