I had LASIK surgery 4 days ago and am currently using Flarex every hour and Tobradex 4 times a day for a "trace" of inflamation and I believe a scratch from the temporary contact lens. This eye is driving me bonkers as it feels like there is something lodged in it. My surgeon has assured me that I am healing fine, but I am fearful that this feeling will not go away; he said he doesn't need to see me for another month. I am also experiencing occasional blurriness and cannot see to read at all but my vision is about 20/25 in both eyes. Will this feeling and blurriness go away or do I need to get another opinion?
If your eye still bothers you, you should go back and see your own doctor to make sure everything else is OK. Dry eyes are one possibly cause, but other causes of eye pain could include an infection (although uncommon).
It is important to make sure that if you do have eye pain and dry eyes, that you are being treated appropriately for the dry eyes. Untreated or poorly treated dry eyes can result in poor vision and an affect your long-term vision.
I hope this is helpful.
Best of luck
