I had a trachoma infection as a child with fairly anterior corneal scars, best corrected vision of 20/30. My prescription is a -7.00 with +3.00 diopters of astigmatism. Am I still a candidate for LASIK. My topography does not show irregular astimatism. Can this reactivate the old infection or should I consider a PTK/PRK to help remove the scars. Also should I just do one eye at a time. Thank you, any help is appreciated.

The surgery will not activate the trachoma but the
question about whether you are a candidate can not
be answered without seeing your corneas. Find an
experienced surgeon and get a careful exam and
discussion.
