I am scheduled for Lasik surgery this week but am very concerned because of my pupil size (8mm) and already dry eyes. I am now considering Intacs. The reversibility appeals to me. I have no astigmatism with my prescription being -2.50 and -3.00. Does pupil size matter with Intacs at all and is a complication drier eyes? Are there any other contraindications for Intacs? Thanks for any input!
You are not a candidate for INTACS. Your
pupils are too large. You would be at a very
high risk of developing night vision effects like
haloes, starbursts, etc. There is a lesser risk
with LASIK with your low prescription if the
laser used has a large treatment and blend
zones.
Good Luck.
