Underwent lasik surgery on both eyes on 10/24/01 Had my right eye done first and was able to keep eye fixed on red light at all times. The doctor then went quickly to left eye and caught me sorta complacent on fixing left eye on red light . doctor told me twice to look up at diming red light during surgery in which i hopefully did in time. Question is I have good vision in right eye close to 20/20 but have about 20/30 in left eye that moved . did moving the eye caused me to have the poorer vision. ( left eye is my dominant eye and was the stronger before eye before surgery} It has been 11 days since surgery .Does the 217a b&L laser have tracking device incase of accidently moving the eye? please help me with some information . BOB F.
I believe the laser you had surgery on has a tracker - but of course the easy way to find out is to ask your surgeon.
having 20/30 vision 10 days after surgery does not necessarily mean that you may not reach 20/20 in the next few weeks to months. The key is to have your surgeon perform a complete exam including topography (which will show decentration, central islands or irregular astigmatism) and refraction.
I hope this helps
