About a year and a half ago I contacted you all about my awful experience with Lasik. Dr. Trattler was extremely helpful in answering my questions. I have a decentered ablation (confirmed by a second and third opinion)as Dr. Trattler recommended. I am wondering what the status of customized lasik to correct this problem is. Is the research coming along for this pretty well? there seems to be a great deal of conflicting information. Thanks!

Wavefront technology is still in the works. There are many good places to read about this topic, such as Eye World magazine or Ocular Surgery news magazine

Bottom line - we still have a way to go, although there has been excellent progress. My guess is that will be atleast one more year, but hopefully we will be surprised with it sooner.

Thank you
