There is risk with any laser procedure, and the laser used here gets very close to the retina. There are very few doctors using this laser, and although the doctors currently using these lasers proclaim that the results are great, I have not seen other doctors use this adopt this technique.
In other words - one can consider this type of treatment, but there are risks.
