You have a significant level of hyperopic astigmatism, and many doctors feel that treating above 4 diopters of hyperopia total has a lot of risk. Your level of hyperopia is equal to the hyperopia plus 50% of the astigmatism. So for your right eye, your level of hyperopia is +4.75 + 0.875 (this is 50% of 1.75)which equals 5.63.
Again - most doctors think that even though the lasers can treat up to 6 diopters of hyperopia, the quality of vision is not as good once a person is treated above 4 diopters of hyperopia.
I hope this helps

There are a few possible problems doing LASIK on high levels of farsightedness like you have. The results are much less predictable than we normally expect for LASIK. Therefore we can't give you an exact level of vision you might end up with. It could be worse than what you now have with glasses. Secondly the vision sometimes continues to fluctuate after surgery. There is no treatment for that. A better solution for you might be an intraocular lens implant. As far as the "lazy" eye, nothing can be done to improve the vision in that eye. Surgery would just give you the same vision you have now in that eye but without glasses. If you would let me know your age, I can give you some more info about intraocular lens implants if you are interested in possibly pursuing this option.
