I have severe myopia (-14.75 -1.00 170; -16.75 -1.50 164) and am looking for a Lasik doctor in Dallas that has experience perfoming Lasik surgery on people as nearsighted as myself. I've done some initial investigation and am considered a candidate for Lasik, but was told that I probably couldn't be corrected much closer than 20/80 unless I went with an intraocular lens. I've pretty much ruled out the lens implant, since I've already had one retinal detachment and given my myopia, am in a high risk group for recurrance.
Also, I'd like to know what the probability is of wearing soft contact lenses after Lasik?
