Hi!
I was scheduled for lasik on 3/31. However, the surgeon determined that my cornea was too thin (440 microns) for the amount of correction I need. I inquired about PRK and they said that they did not do it for -7 and above. Are there any doctors that have had success with PRK above -7 correction? Do you think that I have a chance of having PRK in the near future? Or should I completely forget about laser surgery? Thank you for your help!

prk does not always cause haze... and in fact, may be a great option for you. just make sure your doctor has done cases like yours before, and be prepared for a long healing time before the vision really comes in clear- it can take as long as six months for corrections as high as yours. and make sure to do one eye at a time.
