I am severely myopic withsome astigmatism; currently wear -6.00 extended wear contacts. I think I might be a good candidate.
My main concern is that I am weird with healing, and no doctor has ever been able to explain why. If I get a cut or scratch, it stays for weeks and even months - two years ago I had a benign cyst removed from my upper left arm, and the small incision wound still looks like it was done a month ago!
Will this affect my healing after the eye surgery? This is my main (only) fear about this; or is this maybe a skin condition and won't affect the eyes?
I'm anxious to know - thanks!

theoretically this could represent a problem with collagen wound healing through out your body. i would show the scars to your surgeon as well as get the opinion of a dermatologist.
although problems with wound healing are much discussed, there is still no firm consensus about when to rule out possible surgery.
good luck,
