I had Lasik surgery two weeks ago. My perscription prior to the proceedure was 900/950.
I cannot see clearly yet. My doctor tells me to be patient. I am very frustrated. Is this normal to have burred vision two weeks post proceedure?

I had lasik surgery exactle six weeks ago. One eye is about 20/20 the other is probably 20/20 but blurry. I improve every week but it is slow. My vision is usually at its best when I get up then it gets a little blurry in my left eye. Lubrication eye drops help. At the rate I am improving I think that it will be another two or three weeks before my left eye begins to support my right eye. Its very hard to be patient and so far I have been able to manage. In a nutshell---This may take a little longer than you thought just be able to deal with it because it is a slooooow process to some.

No problem---I usually find that I can assess my improvement over the week end. I am not near any computers or signs. I find that my best vision is as soon as I get up. When you get up tommorrow morning or the next see if their is slight improvement in your eyes. It may only last for five or ten minutes but it is their and just needs to develope.

I see so many comments like these and have come to understand a little better that when the advertising says you can return to normal activity in a few days they are not saying that your vision will be "normal." I'm pretty sure they mean "functional." You vision will be "okay," but will change, fluctuate, improve, etc. in subsequent weeks and months. I know, it's all a game of semantics. Your definitions may vary. ;)

i would agree with your comments. LASIK can provide people with very useful vision even the day after surgery. However, vision on day one is not "normal". It often takes many weeks to months for the eyes to stabalize, and during this time it is not uncommon to get some fluctuations in vision.
Saying this - it is remarkable what people can do the day after LASIK surgery. I have had patients play golf (but no hole in one the day after LASIK yet), drive their car, etc. As well, most patients can return to work after 1-3 days following the procedure.
I hope this is helpful

had lasik 3 weeks ago..........during the last 2 weeks my eyes flip flop in blurriness.......one day my left is good, my right blurry, the next day it switches, some days both blurry, seems when I wake up my vision needs an hour to "kick in" before it clears a bit............eyedrops help but help my vision for only a couple minutes before I start to srr blurry again.''
am i losing my sight?
i am told this is normal, but 3 weeks now, I am starting to get worried.
any one have some insight or similar experiences?
thanks in advance
