I had lasik surgery on both eyes, 5/99. Regressed to 2.5 and 3.0 and had enhancement surgery 12/99. Was able to see 20/20 until 5/01. Over time regression again set in to 1.75 and 1.50. Am being told there's nothing further to be done. Require glasses for distance, particularly at night. Don't like needing glasses again after seeing so well. Are there any options for further correction? Or is it just not an exact science?

Your experience is very atypical and you should make sure your are not develping ectasia of the cornea which can be diagnosed by corneal maps and thickness readings or possibly early cataracts. Depending on your original prescription and your corneal thickness it may not be safe to do more surgery. Consider getting a copy of your records and getting a second opinion before you do any more.

James, thanks for your reply. My original prescription was 10.50 and 11.00. I will try and find another doctor to seek a second option. I live in South Orange County but do travel throughout LA and Orange County for my job. Any referrals for a doctor?

Dr. Jim Salz is "James" (he had a login problem). Dr. Salz is a LASIK specialist in LA. You can find out more information on him by going to his website http://www.Drsalz.com
He helps many patients with questions or problems after LASIK.

Best of luck
