I asked this question in the "Before Lasik" forum and then stumbled on this, the appropriate forum. I know a study of implantable lenses is being conducted in Windsor, Ontario, and by other investigators as well, but haven't been able to locate other investigators or any information on the FDA trials in general. The FDA website shows nothing on the subject! I'd very much appreciate doctors' opinions on phakic IOLs or any suggestions for sources of (preferably objective) information. Thanks very much.

I answered this question in a different forum. There are 3 companies working on Phakic IOL's
The one that I have been following the most is by Staar surgical. Aas well, Jan Worst, MD from Europe has dveloped the iris claw phakic IOL which is also promising. Finally, Nuvita is a company that is making an anterior chamber phakic IOL.
