The last post on this topic was a couple of years ago. Is it still recommended that a woman wait 2-6 months after nursing to have LASIK? I went to see three doctors. Two of them gave me evaluations and said I was a good candidate for the procedure. #1 said since my vision hasn't changed I can have the surgery. #2 said come back a couple of months after I finish nursing. #3 didn't even give me an evaluation and told me to come back a couple of months after finish nursing. These three are reputable doctors in the area and I am suprised at the range of advice they have given me. What to do?

Although your vision may currently be stable - it is possible for your vision to change once you finish lactating. Since the goal is to have surgery just once - it is recommended to wait a few months after breastfeeding.

I hope this helps
