Hi--During a consultation I was told that I have slightly
large pupils and a thinner cornea, so I should probably
opt for custom lasek. I am wondering if the customized
part is really necessary. In most cases doesn't glare/
poorer night vision go away after some time?

I would highly recommend wavefront-guided treatments for patients with large pupils. I have definitely seen that the quality of vision is far superior with wavefront as compared to standard with the VISX laser, and the quality of vision at night is also significantly better.
I hope this helps
