Prior to lasik 7 weeks ago to correct -4 myopia and slight astigmatism i had a +2.5 add in my progressive glasses. As i am 48 i have been told that this is a high perscription for my age. Post lasik my distance vision is excellent but things are a blur out to about 15 feet. I need about 2.5 readers for close work. Does this indicate overcorrection or have my eyes just aged faster than average middle age guy?
Thanks!

paul,
your case sounds normal. don't obsess about what the number is for your readers- just be thankful that you can see clearly with them- the numbers tends tl level out at around +3.00 around the mid-fifties. but all this depends on your visual requirements. you may do very delicate close work, or just prefer the extra sharpness of the +2.50's.
enjoy your new vision.
