I know most people in their 40's need reading glasses. I'm 56 in one month & had monovision--my left eye wasn't touched. I see the bottom print on the close-up eye chart. My close-up vision is awesome. Is there any chance I will keep this ability if I've made it so far? My right lasiked eye is 20-20, so I love my present situation. Does anyone ever continue to be able to read close up print?

If you are reading well at 56 you most likely
won't need reading glasses except for very close
work or in low light and you might not need them
at all. Glad you are doing so well
