I was evaluated a year ago and was told that I would be a great candidate for vision correction but for the size on my pupils which are quite large. The Dr. also indicated that they expected that the FDA would eventually approve Wavefront for vision correction on large pupils. Do you know if this has happened yet? Also, are there any other options I should consider?

Pupil size is an important risk factor for night vision problems. A second factor is the level of near-sightedness. How near-sighted are you (what is your prescription).
I personally use the VISX system - so I will mention it here. The VISX wavefront system allows the surgeon to expand the optical zone, if desired. So your surgeon could expand it. There have been no studies that I am aware of that have looked at the wider optical zones.
I hope this helps. You have to be aware that even with the latest technology, there is an increased risk of night vision problems in patients with large pupils.
Best of luck
