I had RK done in both eyes 20 years ago. I had 20/20 vision for 12 years, then started to get hyperopia in both eyes. Rt eye: +3, left eye: +1.

Had Lasik done in the right eye 3 months ago to correct the farsightedness, but now I am myopic again in the right eye. About -1.50.

My question is, will an enhancement get me closer to 20/20, or should I wait longer to see if the vision gets better with time.

Also, should I wait for the new topography software to come out before I attempt any more surgeries.

Should I leave the left eye alone, since it is ony a +1.

Thanks for any input. Jeanne (in Florida)

your questions while simple are really too complicated to answer on the web. you need a good long examination with a surgeon...

is your vision stable, or does it fluctuate throught out the day? if you put on glasses, does it get to a sharp 20/20? how unhappy are you with your current vision? how stable/ thick are your corneas? only by looking at your corneas and how they ahve stabilized after surgery can one determine if more surgery will help or harm them.

remember the enemy of good is perfection.

Hi,
My vision seems stable now at -1.50 in the right eye, my corneas are pretty thick, and I am pretty happy with my left eye at +1, but not too happy with the right eye being myopic again. I know I won't get perfection, but being hyper in one eye and myopic in the other is a difficult correction for glasses and difficult without glasses, so I feel like I should do something with the right eye so I could have a better balance in my vision. Comments? Thanks. Jeanne

What is your age?
If you are near 40, you might just want to leave things alone and try to adapt. The -1.50 actually allows you to read better at near.
