I am near sighted and have astigmatism. I'm 24 now and was 18 when I had radial keratotomy performed on both eyes. Currently my eyes are in
need of some correction. Is it possible to effectively use laser surgery for my eyes?
LASIK after RK has been looked at carefully, and most experts report good success with this. The key for you is finding a good surgeon who can evaluate your eyes and tell you whether you are a good candidate for LASIK. The one doctor I know in Washington State is Dr. Lomas. I have posted his office information below:

Dear Jill,
The short answer is "Probably". I began performing RK twenty years ago after training with Dr. Fyoderov, creator of the procedure.
Now of course LASIK is the procedure of choice, and it is a great improvement. Being so familiar with RK has helped me to successfully treat quite a few RK patients with LASIK. Not every post Rk patient is a candidate for LASIK, but the odds are in your favor. I would like to invite you to come for a free evaluation to learn whether I can help you. Dr. Trattler has kindly posted the contact information, and I will look forward to seeing you.
