I had RK surgery on my eyes in 1992. The left eye was fairly successful. Unfortunately, the right eye was not. I do not have the detailed information to the problem that some of your other clients have. What I am interested in is finding a Doctoer in the New York City area who can look at my eye and give me a straight prognosis for what I should do. So far the Doctors I have spoken to have not been very helpful. My eye is blurry, both farsighted and near, and it does not seem to be correctable by glasses. Doctors have mentioned Cylinders and astygmatism. Is there some literature I could read, so that I can ask the Doctors the right questioins to better understand my condition.

Daniel,
I spoke with Dr. Aiello's office (he is an experienced refractive surgeon who has treated many patients who previous RK). Please feel free to call his office (here is the info)

Thomas Aiello, MD
7423 Shore Road, Bay Ridge
Brooklyn, NY 11209
Tel:

As far as your situation - it is difficult to know why you are having trouble in the right eye without being able to evaluate it. There are numerous possibilities, including irregular astigmatism, a tiny optical zone, over-correction, etc.

Please feel free to post additional questions if you so desire

Thank you

I have read your post which is at least 5 years old and was wondering what the results were? I have a similar case that my right eye is not fully corrected even with glasses!
Thank you,
