About 15 years ago I had the RK surgery on my right eye. Although the vision is now almost 20/30 there is enough astigmatism present in that eye to make vision in that eye blurred. Can Lasik be performed on an eye that has had previous surgery such as RK and will the satigmatism be corrected if Lasik is performed.
Thank You, Tim Ketterer

LASIK can be performed after RK - although as with LASIK surgery on a virgin eye there are various risks. In addition, some people with RK who have small optical zones which causes glare at night may not have significant improvement in this phenomena after LASIK. As well, there are some additional risks with the procedure.
The best way to find out if LASIK would be available to you is to see a LASIK surgeon and undergo a complete evaluation.
I hope this helps

Check out www.surgicaleyes.org and ask other post refractive patients posting on the bulletin board if any had lasik after RK and if they were happy with the results?
It may be useful to do that before asking a lasik doctor for an evaluation...
