Two questions:
1. Which would be preferred for post-RK touch-up, PRK or LASIK? The reason I ask is that my wife had one eye PRK and one LASIK. The PRK eye nailed 20/20 but the LASIK did not.
2. Can the Star S2 system handle irregular astigmatism? What is the time table for a wavefront based system? Is that the S3 system?
It is my understanding that LASIK is the preferred treatment for patients with previous RK.
As for irregular astigamatism, there is no FDA -approved device at this point. The Star S3 only adds an eye tracker to the S2 platform, and does not treat irregular astigmatism.
We are all waiting for wavefront - but there is still much work to be done.
