5 years ago while living in Canada, I had PRK on both eyes. The doctor and I discussed options and we chose for me to try "mono-vision" , my right eye was undercorrected for upclose vision and my left eye was corrected to see distance. I understood that this would limit my need for reading glasses in the future. It took about one month before I was truly comfortable with my vision but since then have been very pleased and experienced no problems. During the last few months, I have noticed that my right eye upclose vision has become blurry and seems to be impinging on my left eye distance vision. I have spoken to some lasik offices and most will not consider seeing me for liablilty reasons (????) My question is this- what are my options now? I would like to remain glasses/contact free if possible. If not, can I get my upclose vsion eye corrected to a distance eye, then get reading glasses when needed? I appreciate it is very difficult to comment on a case without actually meeting the patient, but any insight(no pun intended) would be appreciated. Thanks, Jill Dale

You should have a complete exam to determine the cause of your blurry vision. You can have your exam with any ophthalmologist - with the goal being to determine whether there is any medical problems causing your blurry vision (cataract, retinal problem) or whether you have just had a change in your refraction. Once you determine your situation, you can determine whether an enhancement (which is just a repeat of the PRK) would be worthwhile.
Again - you have to determine the cause of your blurry vision before you can determine what to do.
Please keep us posted.
