I'm 63yrs old. I had extensive rk surgery yrs ago on both eyes. I recently had cataract surgery on my left eye, (the one with the least scarring) the dr wasn't able to determine the correct lens to use because of the amount of scarring. So now my glasses prescription is about the same as before the cataract surgery and my vision is corrected to about 20/25. I need glasses to read and to see far.
Since the rk surgery I see starbursts from lights and it really affects my night vision, especially when driving. I also need cataract surgery on my right eye, and would like to know if lasik will help me and if it can help with the starburst effect.

For RK - the trend is towards surface ablation rather than LASIK. Surface ablation (PRK/LASEK) can reshape your cornea and improve your overall vision. Sometimes it can help with starbursts - but with RK- sometimes the starbursts are related to your incisions - so laser surgery is not guaranteed to work. You should consult with one or two doctors (or more if you like) to get a sense of what your next options would be.
Best of luck
