Haver there been enouhgh Lasik procedures performed on RK'd eyes to determine the predictiablity of the procedure?

My right eye requires -1.75 spherical component for a contact lens. I have astigmatism too but opt for simple spherical contacts for cost/convenience.

With 16 slit RK certainly I have quite materially-inhomogeneous corneas where the slits were. Does this add great complication or add to the uncertainty of corrective resulsts of a Lasik procedure?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

LASIK can be safely and effectively performed after RK, but you require a complete evaluation by a LASIK surgeon to male sure that you are a good candidate. Many LASIK surgeons have performed numerous LASIK procedures on patients with previous RK, and there have not been reports of generalized problems in these situations

Best of luck
